About ‘Pearls of Victoria Pigeon’ by Patricia Van Eif

In this stately portrait, you are introduced to a Victoria crown dove - an impressive bird with an ornate feather crown that lives up to her name. She wears a classic pearl necklace around her neck and has an old-fashioned, single pair of glassy glasses in front of one eye. Her pose is elegant, almost aristocratic, and her red eyes stand out beautifully against the cool blue tones of her plumage. The background is reminiscent of a soft watercolour of a mountain landscape.

The Victoria pigeon is regal in her own right - her crown of feathers immediately evoked associations with the classical grandeur of Victorian times. By giving her a pair of glasses and a pearl necklace, she became a character: a distinguished lady from another era, full of flair and a touch of dramatic dignity. The mountainous background arose spontaneously during the painting process, as if she felt at home there, somewhere between high clouds and quiet peaks.

The atmosphere is calm and dreamy, with a touch of nostalgia and regal charm. The use of cool blue tones creates serenity, while red eyes and shining pearls add subtle contrasts. The combination of classic elements and surreal details makes the work both timeless and quirky at the same time.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
