About ‘Peat Puddle the Dredging Wells’ by Marga Vroom
De Baggerputten is a small nature reserve in Slochteren municipality of Midden-Groningen. The peat wells were created because peat used to be dredged from the water, hence the name Dredging Wells. The lake now serves as a fishpond.
