About ‘Pebbles on the beach’ by Hans Lok

We don't know this in the Netherlands. A pebble beach. But of course it has its own charm. The infinite variety in shape, size, colour and shade. Much of the same but yet all different. an infinite variety in what are all pebbles. All ground more or less round by the infinite bumping, scraping and colliding by the waves and tides. These pebbles shine not because of seawater but because of early morning dew. But that makes them shine in the early morning light. Hot moment when the early morning light of the rising sun on the horizon of England's east coast sets the beach the dunes and the houses in a warm light. BEgin of a beautiful new day.

Most photographs are created intuitively. It is an image that strikes me, usually a combination of form and color in which a part of reality is framed into an image. The result is a fitting form.
