Prey can be any flying animal, from birds like skylarks, waders and pigeons, to bats. Peregrine Falcons often hunt in pairs. One Peregrine Falcon chases the animal, while the other Peregrine Falcon is high up in the sky ready to strike the prey. The prey is hit in a quick dive and is usually killed instantly.
