The inspiration for this work comes from observing traditional cottage gardens, in which the perennial peony has had a firm place for centuries. I was fascinated by the combination of botanical clarity and the almost sculptural effect of the flower in natural light.
With this picture, I wanted to create a calm but present atmosphere - a moment of concentration on the essentials. The image deliberately avoids distraction by background elements in order to focus on the form and colour of the plant.
In interior design, this picture acts as a natural eye-catcher. It brings a clear, floral aesthetic to the room that works in both modern and classic interiors. It is particularly effective as a colour and structural counterweight in light, minimalist environments.
