About ‘Perish’ by marleen brauers
Slowly the apple decays. Impermanence. Almost a mummy of an apple. The edges nicely curled up. And beautiful colours. It is precisely the beauty of decay that I wanted to capture. This apple has not started to rot, but is slowly drying out and dying away.

La vie est belle. Around the age of fifteen I worked in a darkroom for the first time. I hated the chemicals that were used to develop photos. So nice to be working with photography now, in the digital age. I can experiment as much as I want, and only the really beautiful photos are printed.
