Very close to the 3718 m high stratovulcano Teide there is another spectacular crater: Pico Viejo. Pico Viejo has a crater with a diameter of 800 m - which once contained an impressive lava lake - and is the second highest volcano in the Canary Islands. In the background you can also see La Gomera
