This plover was photographed on a beach in Spain. I was lying flat on my belly in a shelter tent and the little bird almost wiggled onto my big lens after the photo was taken.

Kris Hermans is a passionate photographer who creates many nature images in addition to studio images. His images are characterised by emotion and perfection.
Bird photography is practised almost exclusively from a hidden setup. This includes the use of hides, hide tents, camouflage nets and sometimes even the car. Mirror glass is often used to ensure minimal disturbance.
