About ‘Piedras Amarillas’ by Walter G. Allgöwer

Amidst the rugged beauty of the Teide National Park on Tenerife rises a scenery that is hard to beat in terms of drama. Against the majestic backdrop of the Pico de Teide, which at 3718 metres seems to touch the Spanish sky, the Piedras Amarillas catch the eye. These yellow rocks, painted in warm, golden tones as if by an artist's hand, offer a fascinating contrast to the dark lava rock and the deep blue sky.
A man climbs these imposing rock formations, seemingly small and insignificant in the face of the force of nature, but full of courage and determination. The climber almost merges with the landscape, part of the eternal interplay between man and nature. His movements are concentrated and powerful, every hand movement, every step carefully considered. In the midst of this timeless backdrop, the climber becomes a symbol of the human urge to scale the highest heights and discover the deepest secrets of the world.
The Pico de Teide in the background towers sublime and untouched, its snow-covered peak a glowing counterpoint to the warm colours of the Piedras Amarillas. The sun bathes the scene in a golden light that makes the rocks glow and envelops the climber in an almost mythical aura.
