Pilot tender underway on the Maasvlakte
The pilot tender Luna the other ships in the distance. The container ships and the container cranes. The storage tanks and the windmills on the ring dyke. The barges and the departing coaster loaded with containers.
I stood on the quay of the harbour the pilot tender I saw leaving for another job. The next ship bound for Maasvlakte or Maasvlakte 2. Choosing the moment to take this photo was not easy. But with the approaching barges and the container terminal in the background, it was still a nice port photo. The Maasvlakte is always on the move with the various ships. Barges, pilot tenders, sea vessels, incoming ships and outgoing ships: the port of Rotterdam is always on the move.
