"Pink and soft orange pastel colours: Petals in Lanzarote" is a macro photo of beautifully coloured petals of a plant in Lanzarote. These petals have fallen from the plant along with the seeds. As these petals have dried in the sun for a while, the colour has softened and the vein structure of these petals has become very visible.
If you zoom in on this photo, you can see this very well. You can also see that I chose a small depth of field when taking this photo. I made this choice to create a dreamy, soft atmosphere. As a result, one part is sharp (roughly in the middle of the photo, near the tips of the two petals). From there, everything in front and behind this part gradually fades away. This also creates a sense of depth in the work. The petals lie on a mirrored surface, so the petals recede, upside down, into the ground surface.
This work could hang beautifully as wall decoration on, for example, aluminium or ArtFrame, in the waiting room, bedroom, hallway or, of course, simply above the sofa!
