About ‘Piran old town Slovenia’ by Hans Lok

The old town of Piran on the Slovenian coast. one of those old port towns that exist for centuries and carry their Italian, Austro-Hungarian and Slovenian history with them. Where behind the sea and the promenade with its terraces, a maze of winding streets unfolds with tall houses, open windows stairs to higher streets painted walls in many shades, gates and passages. Everything here exudes that everything has been there for centuries but is still alive. The place to escape the fierce southern sun among the houses and sit at a terrace table for a long time with a cup of coffee, a cool drink later in the day and then maybe stay for dinner. It is quiet now but there is also the promise of music. Perhaps not directly here but somewhere else in town at the Jazz festival. a picture to dream away endlessly, thinking of those long holiday days.
