Located around thirty kilometres from Cuzco, Pisac is one of Peru's must-see archaeological sites. This Inca complex is notable for the agricultural terraces that wind around the sides of the mountains, providing an impressive and functional backdrop. Once used to grow maize and other sacred plants, these terraces bear witness to the Incas&#039 deep connection with the land. Pisac is also home to temples, some of which are dedicated to the Sun, as well as residential buildings of great architectural beauty. A visit to this site not only reveals a technical feat, but also a majestic view of the Urubamba valley.
