At the end of the Groninger world lies the peninsula the Point of Reide. This narrow promontory outside the dikes, measuring 53 hectares, is the remnant of the once so prosperous Reiderland. In the course of time, almost the entire original area has been swept away by the sea. Now nature has free rein: both seabirds and meadow birds are doing well in this oasis of tranquillity.
