The Rietveld Mill is a characteristic windmill in the Netherlands, located in the province of South Holland, near the village of Hazerswoude-Rijndijk. This mill is an example of a polder mill, built to grind water from the polders to keep the land dry, a typical Dutch landscape feature.

History and features
Year built: The Rietveld Mill dates from the 17th century, specifically from 1648.
Type: It is a ground-sailer, which means that the sails of the mill almost touch the ground and can be operated from the ground.
Function: The mill was originally built to drain the Rietveld polder, which was essential for keeping the land dry.
Renovations: Over the centuries, the mill has been restored several times to keep it operational. The last major restoration took place in the 20th century.

The Rietveld Mill is an important cultural heritage in the Netherlands and a symbol of the centuries-long struggle of the Dutch against water. It is also a wonderful example of traditional Dutch mill engineering and a tourist attraction offering a glimpse into the past of Dutch water management.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
