About ‘Ponta de São Lourenço’ by Loris Photography

In eastern Madeira, where the land slopes sharply into steep cliffs and volcanic rock formations, the day awakens in Ponta de São Lourenço with a sunrise that is as mysterious as it is majestic. The sky is overcast, but those very clouds capture the first light like a living canvas - gold and silver-grey blend together like brushstrokes of morning.

Sunlight breaks through the cloud cover in patches, hitting the rugged coastline with a golden glow. The sea shimmers in silence, while the wind gently rustles the bushes and the rocks gleam with morning moisture. Everything is in motion, but also silent - a moment of raw beauty in which you feel the breath of the island. Here, at the extreme edge of Madeira, the world seems completely new for a moment.
