At the edge of a meadow, beautiful poppies were blooming among various grasses and other roadside plants. I took some photos of these and later worked them out at home into this painting in acrylic on canvas. Painted with brush and palette knife.

In my paintings, I use acrylic, watercolour, sometimes ink and often means of applying a lot of texture. I create mostly abstract work, interspersed with more realistic landscapes. Most works are inspired by impressions gained during my travels. Nature is a great source of inspiration for me. By playing with colours, I try to give my work a certain atmosphere and recognisability.
