This is truly a beautiful scene, how a single poppy stands proudly among all the unopened poppies. Deep red with a beautiful green background. The depth of field makes the rose, the stems and the young roses that have not yet been opened, stand out beautifully from the picture.

Soms droom ik dat ik als kind in een Colombiaans bergdorpje rondhuppel en de prachtige natuur om mij heen bewonder. In het grote dal bevind zich de stad Bogota vol drukte en rumoer. Dat contrast zie ik nu als Colombiaanse Nederlander ook in ons Kikkerlandje. Probeer ik zonder 'Hocus-Pocus fotografie' de wonderen van de natuur vast te leggen.
