Porto is a city you have to earn with your legs. It doesn’t just give away its most beautiful spots — you have to climb, turn into an alley, go up some steps, and climb again. And it is precisely in that effort, in that moment when your breath catches and yet you carry on, that the city reveals itself. This staircase is Porto in its purest form.
