In a small forest in North Brabant, in a small patch of blackberry bushes along a flooded field, little gems can be found. These tree frogs are small (max 3 cm), sit silently and blend into their surroundings with their green colour. The frogs are active at dusk and night, sitting quietly during the day. Spotting them is quite an art, but once you spot one, it gets easier and easier to find more.
This frog decided on a photo shoot and stole the spotlight. The small depth of field means the focus is entirely on the little frog, you are drawn into the world through the lines in the photo. The photo was taken at eye level, so you look straight into the little frog's beautiful eye.
Passion for photography, where does something like that come from? The beauty is that every photographer will have their own answer. For me it flows out of being able to freeze a moment, step out of the day-to-day rush, and take my time for what I am.. Read more…
