This is a photo of one of the rooms in a beautiful abandoned castle. The castle is built in the early 20th century. The design however is based on 18th century architecture. The client wanted to emulate rich and noble families of the Ancien Regime. When World War I started the castle was just finished but uninhabited. The Germans confiscated the castle and used it as a prison. The castle was heavily damaged during the war. Even the floor of the castle was used as firewood. After World War 1 most of the castle was renovated.
