The Prebisch Gate, in Czech Pravčická brána, is worth a hiking trip at any time of the year. As the largest natural rock gate in Europe, it juts out of the rocky massif of the Großer Winterberg in the south and is the undisputed symbol of the Bohemian Switzerland National Park. The visitor magnet can be reached via well-maintained trails from Hřensko or Mezní Louka. The Falkennest inn at the foot of the stone gate provides welcome refreshment in between. With typical Bohemian dumplings, goulash and beer, day trippers from the Czech Republic, Germany and elsewhere enjoy the view far across the Elbe.
