About ‘Primary Balance’ by Franka Poulain

Black, white, grey and intense cobalt blue come together in *Primary Balance*, a graphic composition of circles, semicircles and rectangular shapes. The piece plays with weight and balance: heavy black shapes contrast with bright blue and open white space. The formal language loosely references modernism and the Bauhaus, but feels contemporary thanks to its asymmetrical arrangement.
