A 458-metre-long railway tunnel on the Koblenz-Trier line. The railway line is located at the German town of Pünderich and runs along the river Moselle. The most notable structure on the Moselle railway line is the Pünderich rock viaduct that runs right through the vineyards. The viaduct has a length of 786 metres and has 92 arched openings of 7.20 metres width and makes a rise of 1:100 with an arc of 700 metres, making it the longest suspension viaduct in Germany.
I opted for a black and white edit because this shows off the railway viaduct and tunnel more and better. The green prevailing colour of the forests and vineyards did not do justice to this piece of architectural art.
