I took this photo on the Beekhuizerzand near Harderwijk. It is a distinctive sand drift on the Veluwe where there is also some heather. As you can see, the heather was already blooming a beautiful purple when I took this photo. For this photo I took 5 different photos with different exposures, I merged these 5 photos into 1 HDR photo afterwards in post-processing. As a result, you can see structure in the sky while the heather remains a beautiful purple. In the background you can see the sand of the Beekhuizerzand which is characteristic of a sand drift.
