Mill nr. 4, also referred to as the Put Mill, is separate from the other three mills in a row. The mill drains a lower part of the polder, the so-called Put, in which peat was still extracted after the higher part of the polder had already been dry milled. The Well has an area of over 100 hectares. This fourth mill was built in 1801 for 22,000 guilders by Jan de Bruijne from Gouda and Leendert van Leeuwen from Aarlanderveen, the latter of whom had no experience as a carpenter or miller.
