About ‘Radio tower Gliwice’ by Eric van Nieuwland

The Gliwice radio tower is 118 m (387 ft) high (including the 8 m (26 ft) long spire at the top), with a wooden frame of impregnated larch, connected by copper connectors. It got the nickname " the Silesian Eiffel Tower " from the locals. Necessary quote] The tower has four platforms, which are 40.4 m, 55.3 m, 80.0 m and 109.7 m above the ground. The upper platform measures 2.13 x 2.13 m. A ladder with 365 steps provides access to the top.

Wooden structure
The tower is the tallest wooden structure in Europe. The tower was originally designed to carry antennas for medium wave broadcasting, but that transmitter is no longer in use because the last phase is missing. Nowadays the Gliwice Radio Tower has several transceiver antennas for mobile phone services and a low-power FM transmitter that transmits at 93.4 MHz.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
