A bright yellow rapeseed field fills the entire landscape - as if someone has swept sunlight across the ground with a thick brush. The flowers are in full bloom and together form a sea of colour that automatically takes your gaze to the horizon.
Above that yellow, the sky stretches sleek and blue, clear and endless. There is not a cloud in sight. In the middle of all that space stands a single tree. Silent, a little stubborn perhaps, but strong and calm at the same time. As if it has stood there for centuries and seen everything come and go.
The colours - that deep blue and that bright yellow - almost splash off the image. The contrast is so pure, you can almost feel it. You look, and you keep looking. Because it is so quiet. So grand. So unusually ordinary. This is Holland at its finest: pure, clear and unfiltered.
