The Cunera Church last night just before sunset dressed in orange. The sun sets right behind the tower.
The Cunera Church is the main church of Rhenen. It is a relatively large church, created thanks to the fact that Rhenen was an important place of pilgrimage in the Middle Ages. Pilgrims came upon the relics of Saint Cunera, which were venerated here from the eighth century onwards. The pride of the church is the 81.8 metre high tower.
I am Sander Peters, a passionate photographer from Rhenen, the Netherlands. My speciality lies in capturing urban landscapes, atmospheric nature images and special moments. In my work, I play with light, shadow and composition to create images that tell a story. I believe the power of photography lies in capturing details that are often overlooked and in evoking emotions in the viewer.
My passion for photography began in the analogue era, and since then I have refined my style by combining traditional techniques with modern innovations. I draw inspiration from the contrasts around me: the serene tranquillity of nature and the vibrant energy of cities. With my photos, I want to take the viewer into another world and show them how I experience it.
Besides my artistic work, I share my knowledge and enthusiasm as a photography teacher. Here, I help both beginning and advanced photographers improve their skills and develop their creativity. It gives me immense satisfaction to inspire others and ignite their passion for photography.
