A beautiful natural string of red current berries on their branch with bright green foliage. Red currents are part of the gooseberry family and native to Western Europe.
My elderly neighbors where downsizing their garden and asked us if we would love to adopt their red current bushes. Luckily the berries adjusted to the move and rewarded us with beautiful fresh fruit last summer. The tiny berries do look like Perls in their bight red and glossy skins.
The macro lens allows me to get really close and show the fine green veins running though the red current berry. They look a bit like Chinese lanterns. The view is frontal looking directly onto the berries. This vibrant food photograph creates a sense of wonder and wellbeing.
