About the artwork

A calm watercolor portrait of a young woman with red hair as butterflies and light florals drift around the crown. The face stays clear and luminous against generous negative space, so the first read is crisp on the wall and the gaze feels quietly introspective. Color gathers at the temple and cheek without crowding the silhouette.

I developed the piece from gesture sketches, laying broad wet on wet passages to set movement and light. Then I returned with glazing and dry brush to refine eyelids, lips, petal edges and the thin veins of the wings. Transparent washes allow the paper grain to show through, preserving watercolor freshness and small speckles that add natural texture.

The atmosphere is lyrical and poised. Printed large, the portrait holds strongly at a distance and rewards close viewing with fine lines and soft transitions. It suits contemporary interiors that prefer clarity, warm accents and a refined botanical presence.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
