About ‘Red earth from Lac du Salagou’ by Hanneke Luit

Lake Salagou is a reservoir in the Hérault department of France. The lake is set in a unique landscape featuring striking red-coloured hills and lava rock formations. The red colour comes from iron oxide in the soil. The lake is a popular tourist attraction, with walking and mountain-bike trails running around it.
