A portrait of a Red-footed Falcon. The female Red-footed Falcon has a grey back and wings, orange head and underparts, and a white face with black eye stripe. This bird of prey prefers to eat insects such as grasshoppers, beetles and ants. The young are raised on vertebrates, including lizards and newly fledged songbirds.
