There is a large population of fallow deer in the Amsterdam Water Supply Dunes and they are easily approachable. The area is a fine example of Dutch nature, with lots of flora and fauna.
On a sunny autumn morning, I made this image: a female fallow deer grazing at ease in silence. She is standing nicely precise on the crest of a rolling hill, with the low sun slanting from behind.
Dutch nature can be so wonderfully diverse, especially combined with the seasons. So is the Amsterdam Water Supply Dunes, where forests and open plains alternate with slight undulations.
The jagged branches have already lost their leaves, but therefore show all the better the character of some of the wild bushes in the area.
