Cloudy clouds over reeds along the dyke. In black and white, because this is mainly about shapes and lines anyway and colour would only distract. Behind the reeds is a dike with a steep slope. Behind it are the floodplains of the river Aa, which has been meandering beautifully through the landscape here again for several years.…

i once was a journalist working for dutch regional newspapers. the writing kind, not a photographer then. in the last years of my carreer in newspaperland i ended up as a freelance photojournalist en photographer, combining photography and writing. and now i am retired and my profession has turned into a hobby again. still i have that journalistic approach in my photographic work. i do a lot of streetphotography nowadays. and i like doing reportage, landscapes and portraits.
