At the highest point of the Canary Island of La Palma live a number of very tame crows. That they are so tame is due to the astronomers who work in the nearby Observatory Roque de los Muchachos, where there are a number of telescopes from all different countries. These astronomers and other staff members feed the crows so often that they come to you, sit on your shoulder and sometimes even try to pick up food from your hand or mouth. Although this can be annoying at times, it does ensure that they get very close and you can easily take pictures of them.
