About ‘Reflections by the tea pavilion in Warmond’ by Richard Nell

In Park Groot Leerust in Warmond, the tea dome stands peacefully on the banks of the Leede. In this image, this familiar spot takes on an extra dimension thanks to the reflection in a pool of water in the foreground. The dome, the greenery and the soft light are subtly mirrored, causing reality and reflection to merge.

I took this photo at a moment when it was just calm enough to capture that reflection. No wind, no disturbance, just a quiet setting in which everything comes together for a moment. It was precisely that small puddle on the ground that made the difference and gave the image a new layer.

What appeals to me in moments like this is how something simple can suddenly become extraordinary. The place remains the same, but by looking at it differently, a completely new image emerges. That is what makes photography interesting to me.

The atmosphere of this work is calm, gentle and slightly dreamy. It invites you to pause for a moment and take a closer look at the details. In an interior, this image brings a sense of tranquillity and depth. It fits beautifully in living rooms, offices or practice spaces and appeals to lovers of nature, reflections and tranquil landscapes
