Begijnhof Amsterdam
Religion is a range of social-cultural systems, including designated behaviors and practices, morals, beliefs, worldviews, texts, sanctified places, prophecies, ethics, or organizations, that generally relate humanity to supernatural, transcendental, and spiritual elements.
Although the Begijnhof dates back to the 14th century, most of the gothic facades were replaced in the 17th and 18th centuries. The wooden house (Houten Huys) at Begijnhof 34 is the oldest house in Amsterdam. The Begijnhof chapel also features a series of panels telling the story of the Miracle of Amsterdam.
