Rhythm in steel and glass by Marco Leeggangers

This image shows an abstract detail of the Petronas Towers, focusing on repetition, line play and rhythm. The undulating shapes of steel and glass pile up in a tight pattern that feels almost graphic. The lack of context and scale transforms the iconic building into a play of light and texture.

The reflections in the glass capture subtle colour differences and show how the building lives with its surroundings. What from a distance is a monumental symbol of the city is here reduced to pure form and composition. The eye automatically follows the horizontal lines, while the vertical elements provide balance and tension.

This photograph invites slowed viewing. It is not a registration of a recognisable landmark, but an exploration of architecture as an abstract subject. An image that exudes calm and at the same time contains energy, suitable for those who love modern, minimalist and urban photography with attention to detail.
