You can see here an ice dam on the coast near Moddergat. They stand out immediately because of the unique shapes of the wood created by weather and sea water.
I was curious about the work my father used to do and so ended up on the coast near Moddergat.
I come there regularly and it is a soothing surrounding and the area looks different in every season.
So now it really reminds me of my father... he was one of the many people who put up these riding dams in the water. What hard work he and many others did in the mud.
I did not use any special techniques in this photo. I only converted the photo to black and white, so it fits very well in a clean and modern interior.
A pleasure to have this on the wall and for me personally the memory of my father.
