The ring-tailed lemur's name says enough about its tail: it has a black and white ringed tail. They are almost always 13 rings. With these, they keep their balance and let fellow group members know where they are. Thus, their tail is actually a kind of flag rising above the grass.
This tail can grow up to 60 centimetres long! They have a long and pointed face. They have golden yellow eyes and a black nose.
On a beautiful Sunday in July, I drove alone to Zooparc Overloon. A 2-hour drive. So I could quietly observe the lion's behaviour, search for the right viewpoint and wait for the right moment to take the picture.
I find it important to capture an intense facial expression and/or eye contact. So that when you see the photo, you feel like you are in Africa yourself.
In daily life I am a personal supporter on a woovorm for people with a mental disability and father of 2 children.
Photography is pure relaxation for me.
