The Rock of Cashel towers over the beautiful countryside of County Tipperary. The castle is also known as St Patrick's Rock or The Cashel of the Kings. Most of the buildings on the limestone rock were built in the 12th and 13th centuries. These include a cathedral and a chapel where ancient frescoes's can still be admired. The whole is one of the country's main tourist attractions.
