About ‘Rocks and Ropes Blue’ by Mattijs kuiper

Rocks and Rope blue: created from the idea of combining the natural (rocks) with today's plastic pollution of our waters ( ropes). These fishing nets are a major polluter of our waters. Unfortunately, they are frequently found on the coast of IJmuiden, where they wash up at the pier and get stuck between the rocks. Despite this, the colour combination of both forms a nice contrast. It has something abstract and colourful against the raw, grey of the rocks.

Walking along the pier, I came across some of these choked nets. Of these, I decided to take some photos that eventually resulted in a series of several images.

The images ( and dis also this one) are perfectly suited for an abstract interior. This could include an office space, reception area or a living room with an abstract design.

Photos were taken with a Canon Eos R including a canon 24-105 mm lens.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
