About the artwork

The Rubjerg Knude is a breathtaking nature reserve on the west coast of North Jutland, Denmark. This unique landscape is characterised by huge sand dunes, vast heathlands and stunning views of the rugged Skagerrak. Central to this area is the iconic Rubjerg Knude Fyr, a lighthouse that was built in 1900 and guided shipping for a long time.

The nature reserve is constantly changing due to the forces of wind and sea erosion. The sand dunes slowly move inland, causing the area to show a different face every year. This dynamic process even caused the lighthouse to be moved in 2019 to prevent it from disappearing into the sea.

Rubjerg Knude is a popular destination for hikers, photographers and nature lovers. From the top of the dunes, you have spectacular views of the coastline and the North Sea. The combination of the soft sand, the clear sky and the historic silhouette of the lighthouse makes this area a true photographer's paradise.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
