About ‘Ruins of Pisac Peru’ by Yvonne Smits

Pisac the ruins of what was once a city, military base and a religious and astronomical center in the time of the Incas. Agricultural terraces stretch across the surrounding hills. Behind them you look out over the Andes Mountains, the Sacred Valley and the village of Pisac.

Yvonne Smits was born in 1962. She got her first camera for her 6th birthday. Photography is a real passion. Several of her photos have been published in photo magazines and travel guides in the Netherlands. In 2008 one of her photos was shown at the Saatchi exhibition in Cannes during the Sony World Photography Awards. She has also won several awards at photo competitions and held several exhibitions. At the moment she has a full-time job and is a freelance photographer…
