About "Rusty abstract II"

About the artwork

Beautiful through ugliness. The hull of a ship shows that it has difficulty in withstanding the elements, to which it is exposed during distant voyages across the world's seas. The rust has eaten through the paint, which is flaking here and there, creating an abstract image with fascinating color combinations in brown and blue. The welding seams here and there provide some variation in the image.

What is abstract photography?
Abstract photography consists of images created with photographic materials and equipment that have no direct association with the real world. Abstract photographers use perspective, movement and light to transform the visible world into an unexpected, often unrecognizable image. "Abstract photography does not involve representational representation. It can be an exploration of the texture or details of everyday objects, or make you think of something else.

About Leo Luijten

Leo takes nature photos, wanders through his hometown Rotterdam and also likes to capture images by means of macro-photography. In addition, Leo is developing more and more into abstract and impressionistic images, e.g. by using longer shutter speeds in combination with motion blur.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
