Napoleon Bonaparte was a famous and influential, Corsican born, French military and political leader, who rose to power alongside the French revolution. Jacques-Louis David was a French neoclassical painter, who was also well known for his portraits. This world famous and iconic painting, which is also known as 'Napoleon at the Saint-Bernard Pass' or 'Bonaparte Crossing the Alps,' was part of a series of five portraits of Napoleon, in various settings and depictions, commissioned by the King of Spain. Jacques-Louis David also eventually painted five slightly different versions of this painting, with one of the biggest differences being the different colored horses, we have slightly enhanced the color in this version as well. A classic, fun, inspirational, and motivational wall art home decor piece for anyone.
