About "Sailing through the characteristic village of Giethoorn (watercolor painting landscape Holland bridg"

About the artwork

Giethoorn is located in the north of Overijssel and is a village which was created by its many excavations of peat. This created the many water channels. The houses are built on islands, which also explains why there are 176 bridges. Many water sports enthusiasts go there to sail boats, canoes and punters. What also makes this village special is that you can only go through it by boat, bicycle or on foot.

I myself have been there several times now and among other things took this picture from a boat. Later I made a watercolor painting of it.

The painting was photographed in such a way that the structure of the watercolor paper is still clearly visible. This has the advantage that it looks even more like a real painting, despite being a print.

Curious about what else I have painted? In my shop I have many different types of landscapes, among other things. From summer representations to winter and from abstract to more detailed artworks. They can be found in the landscapes and street scenes folder.

I have used the following colors: green, blue, red, purple, gray and brown
