The Lontzkedune (Polish Wydma Łącka) is the largest shifting sand dune on the Pomeranian Baltic coast. It has the shape of a crescent or a half-moon and is part of the dune area, which covers an area of about 500 hectares. It is between 30 and 42 metres high, about 1300 metres long and 500 metres wide, and moves east about 12 metres a year due to prevailing westerly winds. (Source: Wikipedia)
