This picture is an image of the desert landscape along the coast in western Namibia. The Namib Desert is one of the driest and least accessible in the world. The picture was taken early in the morning at sunrise which gives the picture an almost monochrome orange pink color. The vastness of the landscape is emphasized by a rhythmic pattern of sand dunes that seems to repeat itself endlessly. This rhythmic pattern also gives the photo an almost abstract character. No people or other forms of life can be seen in the photo.
